Dear Brothers,



The Scholarship Committee for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Iota Sigma Chapter sent you a letter in August outlining plans for our Night on the Town Scholarship Dance. The event will be held at the Hobson Ballroom, 801 Prince Hall Drive, Richmond, VA on the evening of November 25, 2011; 8:00 p.m. – 12 Midnight. Brothers we cannot emphasis enough the importance of making this dance a success. Scholarship is one of our national programs. We are all aware that the cost to attend college has increased each year whether we have a child in college or not. Our scholarship, as small as it may be, could be the difference between some young man in the Richmond area staying in or dropping out of college. It could be something as small as the cost of books for a couple of classes or lab fees that could make the difference.



Brothers, we are appealing to you to participate in some manner to help make this affair a success. If you can’t or don’t want to purchase a table, you can reserve space at $40.00 per reservationYou don’t have to be financial to participate. If you don’t take part in the dance, you can make a donation in any amount. No amount is too small. If your donation is $50.00 or more, you’ll receive a receipt and can write it off on your taxes. All monies can be sent to the chapter’s post office box or you may contact any committee member and we’ll make arrangements to pick up your reservation money and/or donation. Monies are needed as soon as possible.



In response to our fundraising initiative one of our Iota Sigma Chapter members has contributed $10,000.00 to our Scholarship Fund within the past two years. We are counting on all brothers who have not made your commitment yet to contribute. We are thanking you in advance because we know that you are going to help this cause speed on its’ way.



Please respond today or no later than our next regular meeting on Thursday, November 10, 2011at 7:00 p.m. at Club 533.
